Alberto Guerra es ilustrador de la historia natural, conoce esta disciplina en el 2002 gracias a la instrucción de Aldi de Oyarzabal. Se especializa en ilustración de fauna marina; desde el 2010 colabora con la Facultad de Ciencias de la UNAM en Yucatán, la ENES, campus Mérida, con Biodiversidad Marina de Yucatán, el Centro de Investigación Científica de Yucatán (CICY) y el Laboratorio Nacional de Resiliencia Costera; su interés se centra en poder captar lo mejor posible la simbiosis entre diferentes especies y su entorno.
Esta fascinación por las interacciones, lo ha llevado a conocer diferentes comportamientos y algunos fenómenos físicos propios del mundo acuático y terrestre; ha tenido la oportunidad de poder ilustrar diferentes ecosistemas de la península de Yucatán y en lo referente a la botánica ha podido ilustrar especies de diferentes grupos de plantas mostrando sus características taxonómicas.
Ha colaborado con murales en el museo de Historia Natural de la Ciudad de México junto con otros artistas de la naturaleza y También con un par de murales hechos digitalmente para el Museo de Ciencias Universum, de la UNAM
Alberto trata de expresar e interpretar lo mejor posible en imágenes e ilustraciones, para generar en el espectador: conocimiento, respeto y conciencia hacia la naturaleza.
Alberto Guerra is a natural history illustrator, he learned this discipline in 2002 thanks to the instruction of Aldi de Oyarzabal. His expertise is marine fauna illustration; Since 2010, he has collaborated with the Faculty of Sciences of the UNAM in Yucatan, the UNAM’s National School of Superior Studies (ENES) campus Merida, with Marine Biodiversity of Yucatan, the Scientific Research Center of Yucatán (CICY) and the National Coastal Resilience Laboratory (LANRESC);
His interest is focused on being able to capture the symbiosis between different species and their environment as best as possible. This fascination with interactions has led him to learn about different behaviors and some physical phenomena typical of the aquatic and terrestrial world; He has the opportunity to illustrate different ecosystems of the Yucatan Peninsula and in relation to botany he has been able to illustrate species from different groups of plants showing their taxonomic characteristics.
Also he has created an contributed with Murals for the Natural History Museum of Mexico City, and the UNAM Sciences Museum Universum.
Alberto tries to express and interpret the best possible in images and illustrations, to generate in the viewer: knowledge, respect and awareness towards nature.
